If we book, what can we expect?

​

Step through the doors of The Studio and into a hidden Prohibition-era retreat, where exposed brick, vintage character, and the rich history of one of Fredericksburg's iconic buildings create an atmosphere unlike anywhere else. Behind every corner you'll discover a space that feels equal parts speakeasy and private club—bold, unforgettable, and designed to make every gathering feel like you've uncovered one of the city's best-kept secrets.

Is there parking available at the Studio?

​

Yes, plenty.  There are 4 spaces in the front of the building off Lafayette Blvd.  There are 40-50 spaces behind the building that provide easy access to the back entrance of The Studio which are ADA compliant.

How do we access the Studio?

 

There are three entrances to the Studio.  The first if off Lafayette Blvd that provides access to the front of the building.   This requires guests to go up 4-5 steps to the front door.  The second and third entrances are behind the building that provide access to a lobby.  On the first floor of the lobby guests can access the lower level of the Studio which provides access to the lower level.  The third entrance can be accessed via an elevator which will take guests to the upper level.  Note - the upper level entrance is not ADA compatible.

How is the Studio setup / organized?

 

There are two levels to the Studio - each 1,000 SQFT.  The lower level is setup very similar to a prohibition era speakeasy with a bar, couches, kitchen, sitting areas, bathroom, wall mounted TV's, and a conference room that seats 8-10 people.  This space can easily hold 30 people.  The upper is more of a conference area that includes a huge conference table that seats 12-16 people, 2 breakout rooms that seat 4 people, a sitting area, bathroom and coffee bar.

What amenities are provided?

  • High speed WiFi

  • 5 wall mounted flatscreen TV's, 1 portable flatscreen TV.  All are SmartTV's and connected to the WiFi, most connected to Roku

  • 6 wall mounted, glass whiteboards with markers

  • 2 Bluetooth speakers, vintage record / cassette / CD player

  • 3 flatscreen monitors mounted to 2 desks on the upper level

  • HP Laser Printer, connected to the WiFi

  • Powerstrips integrated into each of the conference room tables

  • Kitchen - refrigerator / freezer, dishwasher, sink, microwave, toaster, 2 Keurig machines with K-Cups, tea and coffee condiments, glass dishware, glasses, cups and silverware for 12, paper products, serving bowls, flatware and utensils, wine rack and glasses, towels, soap, and other typical kitchen products

  • Bar - kegerator with 2 taps built into the bar, glasses, cocktail / mixology kits and equipment, shelves to hold / display liquor behind the bar, bar mats, and other typical bar equipment 

  • Toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, hand sanitizer

  • Powerstrips, extra chargers, extension cords, and other items sometimes forgotten

  • Elevator to provide access to the upper level

  • Portable humidor (upon request only)

Can guests take the train to get to the Studio?

​​

Yes.  The Virginia / VRE is located directly across the street and is a 1 minute walk to the Studio.​

What options do we have to get food delivered to the Studio?  Or, local places you recommend?

​​

All of the major food delivery services deliver to the Studio (i.e., Uber Eats, Door Dash, Grubhub, etc.) from typical chain restaurants and local  fooderies (which are our favorites).   Given the Studio's location in downtown Fredericksburg, most are within walking distance as well.  Here are a few of our local favorites that you may want to consider:
